It takes a village to make a successful deal play out according to plan.

While the cash has been nice I have friends who  have made more money than I have through appreciation in higher price point neighborhoods (Ukrainian village/wicker park) they bought 2 flats for $600-700k and have made $100k plus in appreciation.

I know someone who flips on the other side of town, in the Leisure Village West community.

My in law is in the villages, but I'm not sure how comfortable they'd feel doing small fixes.
