We definitely have sentimental attachments to this home and it would be great for our family, but I’m still trying to look at it from an investor perspective.

I don't want to sell land for sentimental reasons. 

@Chris Rivers A lot of real estate investors share your sentiment; however, one can always find deals floating around (good or bad).

To me, I'd say no because you've already expressed the sentimental value.

The prevailing sentiment around here is that listings on sites like Loopnet are basically ones that have been summarily rejected by first line buyers with a solid broker relationship.

I know there is a lot of prevailing sentiment that trying to get money owed is like tilting at windmills. 

Sentimentality can cloud your vision.

For me, a major reason that I may consider doing a lease option is because I would assume (and have heard this sentiment echoed from investors as well) that the tenant in a lease option is significantly more-likely to take care of the property, among other things.

The hardest part is investing with so much negative sentiment swirling around (and of course, nothing is guaranteed to get better) but that's what differentiates the good investors from the rest.

I appreciate the thoughts and that’s certainly why I agree with the sentiment regarding AMU wealth advisors and their conflicts of interest.I should also say that this isn’t being driven by me but as a compromise with my significant other.
