We have not done anything on the land yet because its very far from all our primary residences and does not have basic things like a well paved road and a water source.

The land is unbuildable for residences and we build these storage workshops on the properties.  

One note is that if the property was helping cover my costs of living while I house hacked it I wouldn’t worry about negative cash flow while I resided there.

@Brody Veilleux You’re right—FHA loans are only for individuals and require you to hold the property personally as a primary residence for at least the first 12 months.Transferring to an LLC:1.

I work with a lender that allows that as long as we can document some explanation that the borrower doesnt plan on occupying the home as a primary residence.

I have finally settled on a price for my farm (12 acres) which would allow a short plat and development of a cul de sack and build 5 residential lots for 5 of the acres, and then the farm with my own residence on the 7 remaining acres.
