Note dealers are, IMO, pretty relaxed about discussing their notes and I've been guilty of it as well, but really if you hold a note you should have a LOI to discuss the note and any deal.A bank certainly wants something to show that there is at least a potential business arrangement over the subject note(s) as they are not going to discuss individual customer details with anyone off the street.
