They service things like the Registry of Deeds, county jails, transporting prisoners, etc.If you have a property in mind, call that town's Building Department.

I currently work as a retail department manager and am joining the police academy in January 2019 once I complete my bachelors degree in December this year.

It may be helpful to go to the Zoning or Building department/commission, and ask about retrofit status.
