Hi Scott, I don’t know a whole lot about tax lien investing as but I have been learning a bunch about it I suggest you get yourself a copy of the 16% solution by Joel Moskowitz and then go to the tax collectors went for the county/s you are interested in and learn as much as you can.

The program has been broken for 30 years and Congress said they would have to raise the rate 10% a year until they could find a solution.

They are allowable per code here but are generally looked at as temporary solutions and to be honest you can get a ring crimper for the price of about 4 or 5 press on fittings... thus cheaper and more durable/leak free to go the crimp ring route..

Sitting there and filling out an application is time consuming and frankly gets you into more problems than solutions.
