Instead of evicting them, i was thinking is there some way that I could rent it back to him for very cheap (mainly to cover just the taxes/ insurance) ie 2k a year rather than the going rate of 2k a month for similar properties.

I think about this often, its really just running the numbers - if you borrow 100k at an 8% interest rate, will the investment get you more than an 8% return?

This is sound advice and I think you may have been reading my notes.

I personally think they are “higher end” than anything stackable.

Before you think about investment real estate regardless of being a VET or 100% VA disability you still must consider and evaluate your RICE!

I think you run a real risk of your second rental eating up the profits you're enjoying on the first one.

At the same time, there's so many people on the fence, thinking prices are going to crash.

I do have monthly mortgages to be paid and not having rental income to offset my negative cash flow has been a learning experience and really trying to think of what options I have to have better success at this.

Are you thinking of investing in Kansas City as well?
