While he was looking at our shell he was already talking about putting the animal portion of the business on the opposite side of the property, so furthest from my space, and double insulating the walls, extra ventilation etc....he seems like the noise/smell is something he wants to try and eliminate as his first space didnt do that as well.

No matter how much automation you get set up something is going to pop up that you didn't plan for.This person just has to be a warm body that you can have go onsite and report information to you.

@Ryan Moyer @Joe Splitrock @Nik MoushonAll of the examples you give of "doing whatever you want" (i.e. pig farms and industrial) are things that literally take away the individual freedom of the property owner nearby by subjecting them to awful smells and noise.

Just for discussion purposes.I picked this pic off the internet.It looks like a lot of "Hoarder Houses" decor style.Busy carpet, busy furniture, paneling, faux rocks on the walls, flat paint.I can smell the cigarette smoke just looking at the picture.But I wonder if you owned this place, as either a flip or a rental, or AirBnB, would you rip everything out and paint it all grey and modern.Or do you think pic 2 is acceptable and cheap (quick) way to do it.Tear it out to the studs, or just light cosmetic changes, or something completely different?

The area where they nested needs to be cleaned out (gross), and spray clean with household ammonia to get rid of animal feces (smell that they like).
