Right now I don't know enough to even realize what I don't know about real estate, so I am currently trying to drink water from the firehose that is the Bigger Pockets community.

I felt like that in law school, like drinking from a firehose.

I need water when I drink some meds.

Perhaps you could ask an investor friend in your local area who has done this type of work to give you a hand (once the tear out is complete) and to supervise what you're doing in exchange for dinner/drinks/pizza/etc.
