To begin with I'm 18 years old and I'll be leaving for military soon and while I'm in the service I plan on starting my REI career.

I am an active duty member in the military so I am really looking for some advice from those who have a full time job or are in the military (maybe certain perks I am unaware of).I found out about BiggerPockets through their Podcasts.

The guy was a veteran, served in Iraq and got hurt, spent a year in hospital, and is now on military disability pension for the rest of his life.

It is a gorgeous gorgeous place here.Starting a working life in 1999 I was in the military working in disaster management; then a whitewater raft guide; then international aid worker; then writer; and then paramedic, all over a span of 13 years.Over that span of jobs but especially as a paramedic and before that as an aid worker in Sierra Leone I have seen everything in life without having actively participated in war.

I have full time job, active duty military,and every two- Three years I have to pack up and move.
