My second unit came vacant and I got very lucky renting it out to a nice couple who not only take cares of the house like they own it, the husband does gardening for hobby and turned my backyard like a front cover of House and Garden Magazine :D (it was all dirt before).  

I am also a New Yorker, but was fortunate to invest down south with my partner.  

Always nice to meet other New Yorker's in the tech field. 

Kiplingers Magazine has an interesting article (pg 72-73 - may be online, but I don't know) in their just published January '15 issue showing 100 cities in the US and an expected snapshot of home prices.
