Hi Mayur,The city I am purchasing in is one which I grew up so I am very familiar with the area and communities.

Farming operations have scaled correspondingly and what was the family farm of my grandparents is no longer sustainable ... in the areas where my parents grew-up, many "family" farms today are working  6 - 10 sections annually - a task that requires millions of dollars in capital equipment.There are also farmers who are specializing in organic and/or non GMO crops (both of which may require maintaining a wide border strip between their fields and their neighbours crops).There were (and likely still are) two principal ways of renting farm land in that area: a) straight rent per acre/quarter/section or b) a share cropping arrangement with the farmer working the land.  

@Youdo Thirakul , My husband grew up in AK and his Best Friend hot his start in RE up in Juneau.

My wife grew up in Indy and we typically go back once a year , so I would love to stay in touch and maybe grab a coffee when we are in town.

Hi Calvin,I grew up in South Shore and know the area well, I am a new wholesaler and am always looking for off market deals in on the South Side, they are so many neighborhood gems to choose from. 

Between the realtor and friends who live in the city I'll be purchasing in, they can help me to determine good neighborhoods....I'll be able to determine this too as I grew up in a small town right outside of the city I'm purchasing in. 

I grew up in middle of nowhere NM where I learned building houses, but nobody every cared to even bother about permits, for anything....

I’ve got a brother currently under contract purchasing a foreclosure property in the small town we grew up in.
