I really wanted to get an investment started before I continue on in my medical career so I saved up money and just purchased my first investment rental property.  

I lost my potential profits in these deals, but I was once again reminded how my team is critical in the future of my career in this business. 

My concern with this is risk, I am new in my career and not stable enough to take on huge amounts of risk.

There are a ton of ways you can start off as a budding investor, like partnering with someone more experienced, bird-dogging for an established investor and providing sweat equity, because at this point in your career that's your main advantage, plus knowledge of social media etc.

I am looking for suggestions on some areas around the greater Dallas area that one could consider as candidates in order to start a "real estate career".
