I’m really interested in starting an airbnb in San Antonio (an area that I like to visit for fun and is not too far from where I live in Houston). 

Working on properties is not always a lot of fun, but I derive a great deal of personal satisfaction from it.

I think it would take me about two weeks of diligent searching to grasp a certain market - but I would need the help to discover recent sales, etc..It’s a treasure hunt; fun, exhilarating, and pure American Dream stuff.

Ozarks is a great show, yes, but the cartel is not forcing you to build a casino so shut it off.

Reinforcing what others have said, you will have a substantially more fun time in Houston if you live in/near the West side of the 610 loop.

There are no multi families in that price range but just for fun we were discussing value add properties:Here is a 250K duplex making 1800 rent/month.

Fun Fact: Some of them are exempt from the loan originator compensation rule that came out a few years ago, meaning the LO can lawfully get paid more for handing grandma/grandpa a higher interest rate on a one-off basis, just like the F&I guy at a car dealership.
