So after being laid off a few times in the last 8 years I decided to get back into investing but this time focusing on buy and hold multi family real estate so that I could built wealth that could help me retire my wife who just had a long battle with cancer and survived , but is now back to work, and I want to give her a relaxing life free of all the stress of the world (by the way did I mention she is also in the mortgage lending field) so that explains the urgency to retire her from w-2 work ! 

They do that many because they have a successful system that allows them to do that many. 

I currently own 2 commercial and 1 residential, a 7 unit / 2 commercial storefront property, a Laundromat facility storefront, Then a 2 unit multi family that i am house hacking.The purpose of the this post is that i want to meet ALL investors( pro or just starting out) in New London County to know each other and learn and talk about real estate, want to create a great network of people in this county.

I invest in Pennsylvania where I find to be some opportunity there in terms of cash-flow particularly with multi-family within the $300,000 range and even lower. 

I'm soon closing on a multi-family property that has some extra space that's begging to find a better use. 

I started looking a bit into Rochester which has a way lower price point for multi families and single families but obviously I would be unable to house hack as it is 5 hours away from NYC which I will not be commuting lol.

Cameras, security system, motion lights, cage lock on hvac, etc.They were stolen cause it was vacant and had a for sale sign.   

Secondarily how will the multi-family concept impact the most immediate and impacted neighbors?

I would be careful when looking at discount PMs because if they aren't making money, they likely have terrible systems in place for management. 

These are the different properties that are included in the 1031 exchange requirement: commercial buildings such as offices, schools and different establishments that are important for the population, as well as single family rentals, multi family rentals, industrial facilities, and even raw lands are included in the like-kind.
