Trip to planning department would be appropriate 

I contacted their customer service department and they indicated that the way counties in NJ provide their information does not coincide with the way List Source gathers Absentee landlord.

It is my first time to talk with the commercial lending department so I am not sure what the terms are.

In Boise, our City building and planning departments are pretty great to work with.  

I have no skills currently in the home renovation department, interior design, etc.

If you haven't already, speak to the local planning and building department to find out what you can build on the land, what the process is for permits, and what is needed from you to submit for permits.
