Just an idea that I'm a little surprised more out of town owners haven't done..

I have invested in great locations that have gone dark and was surprised how long it took to lease it out.  

I was actually quite surprised with this outcome since previously I asked them to communicate with each other but they didn't want to.

I think you'd be pleasantly surprised at what a furnished rental could potentially rent for.
