Owners shop fees in the beginning, but once you're seasoned, you realize fees are usually about the same, and it's really process, procedure, culture, and communication that you're hiring. 

I've realized that I'm not looking to start another full-time career.

I realize this is an older post, but my family and I run a property management company.

I was thinking 5.5%, but realize the property is at a low price point.

Unfortunately, many people will do partnerships like this because they seem straightforward and don't realize what they are giving up.

Then they realize it didn't and they need to find a new way to make money to keep the real estate investing going.
