While small, local credit unions/ banks seem more flexible in a lot of aspects, they're also the ones that don't usually have much experience with foreigners (especially where we are investing, in Eastern Oregon).

There are Foreign Investor loans out there... sometimes they need a larger down, but this would be more of a question for a Mortgage Broker.

As for the "stimulus checks," they have been a nightmare...a lot of "wrong" people got them (including dead people and foreign workers), and a lot of "qualified" people haven't received them yet.
