So many rental markets in Chicago and surrounding suburbs (Cook County) are dominated by renters using government vouchers to pay for their rent payments.

If you go the mid term rental you would definitely want to add the kitchenette so they can cook in the unit.

I mean really well supplied with just about everything anyone could need to cook any meal.So many STR's we have stayed at have terrible kitchens.

No place to cook, so we are stuck eating out every meal, and a single small room with one TV, along with no garage.

@Padric LynchThat may limit your marketability a bit because people look to stay in Airbnb’s for that very reason, to cook and have access to laundry especially if those stays are longer.
