When checking for contractors keep the restoration companies in mind too.

The renter's insurance policy is supposed to pay for those expenses.The mitigation company that we have hired for the fire restoration is telling us that they cannot begin any work at the home till all of the tenant's belongings are out of there.

The "city center" is full of beautiful homes, circa 1900, many of which are fully restored and updated.   

Both have families to think about and I decided I am never going to get this oppurtunity again so why not restore it and make it into a stream of income and allow myself the ability to buy other properties.
