In my experiment I was looking for something super cheap and treating it like a gambling and/or educational experience.

However, the mistake I see a lot of investors make and one that I am trying to avoid is the mistake of confusing investing with gambling.

If the place is empty and you are willing to gamble, offer to send them the keys back with a deed in lieu of foreclosure.

So here I am,  finally it is time to get started.I have been living in Dubai, UAE for the last 18 years yet I am originally from the UK.  

If you are taking uncalculated risks then it is simply gambling or betting. 

I am based in the UK but invest in the states so s bit of a long distance investor.

If I'd been doing this longer, and could afford to lose a little money; I would definitely take a gamble on this one.

Although the soaring prices of gold in the recent past have lured the investors towards this yellow metal, it has still not been able to surpass property that has maintained the number one position in investment option list.According to a research conducted in 2011 by the UK based Worldwide Property Group, 72% participants voted property to be the best investment, where as gold just gathered 16% votes.
