Do  background checks work for out of country people?

Until then, new operators are far more likely to fund their deals the old school syndication way (friends & family / country club network / Reg D offerings). 

I imagine these are on the low and high ends of the spectrum around much of the country, assuming you can find a small shop that does their own fabrication.

What I see is there are many people from abroad who just want to park money here vs their home country due to inflation or some other reason who are willing to take minimal returns in exchange for principal safety.

As well as new construction in those areas is a fraction of what you have in other parts of the country so the older exiting houses are finally getting absorbed.
