@Bill C.When I had my business, workman's comp was not insured via the insurance carrier that issued my business insurance, but through the state, in my case, NY State Insurance Fund.

Can anyone recommend a good insurance carrier?

I am currently nearing closing on my first investment property here in Honolulu (a 2 unit single family home) and am seeking informed suggestions regarding rental property insurance carriers here in Honolulu.

*Each time you buy a new location, the Umbrella carrier needs details of the landlord insurance. 

I know that by law I cannot make my Buyer go with a certain insurance carrier, but I can "suggest" and offer the needed policy on my addendum during the sale of the home.

So you're looking at Norfolk VA (three distinct bases), San Diego CA (four bases), Jacksonville FL (three bases), Groton/New London CT (large submarine base), maybe Newport RI (officer training base with many long-term service schools), maybe Pearl Harbor HI (joint base but in Hawaii), maybe Bremerton/Bangor WA (not as many ships or submarines but homeport to one aircraft carrier).Another consideration is what the mission of the base is and who are the personnel most likely to work on that base.

Can someone recommend a insurance carrier (insurer / insurance company) that is small business and investor-friendly?  

If they are vacant and under rehab, you may have to find a different carrier until they are stabilized with a tenant.
