Then in 3-5 years you move to your "permanent" house you will have two rental units that most likely pay for both your old home and existing.Because your cost to buy is so low < $5000 you can buy the property, shop for renovation money, maintain an apartment (small studio or 1 bedroom) while the place gets livable.If your partner does basic construction he will know people who can do the heavier stuff, he doesn't do personally.

Hi, I recently built a small studio duplex designed to cater to short term traveling medical personnel in my area.  

They sell some great pieces for bedrooms/hallways and for other rooms, Amazon actually has a good stock.

Yes, this includes stocks, real estate, freelancing, self-publishing on Amazon, etc. 

This is why I'm not worried about Zillow, Amazon or anybody else eliminating the role of a good real estate agent.

Well 30 years later that article was right on.. not sure if it knew Mircrosoft and Amazon were coming and or that Oregon would be destination number one for folks wanting out of CA..
