Sorry, your feeling this way, but I will say you should try and go to an investor workshop.  

I am aware there will be a further and more expensive upsell to another workshop during the first class.But my question is, are there lenders who will be willing to provide funding to investors to buy tax liens?

That's pretty cool that you're doing free investor workshops, I hope to do that one day.
