There are very few "homebuyers" who would have any interest in a 1 bedroom condo with the exception of maybe a single elderly person.

Even better: Some lenders will be willing to count it as a primary residence if you're providing housing for elderly parents that cannot support themselves. 

I am in the process of trying to buy a triplex in the east coast town I grew up in to be closer to my elderly parents.

I found a multifamily deal, owner still has a mortgage and just wants out due to being elderly and location.

Also the elder son will be living with them as well for more than 2 weeks and probably has something on his background check she doesn’t want you to screen and find.  

I was extremely happy to see her taking what she’s considered was a risk and steps to fund her own retirement.I could go on and on about the lack of respect and appreciation of parents and the elderly in western culture but I’ll finish here.

They are both elderly so I didn’t inquire why dpoa is setup but presumably for health reasons.So how should I record the name on the deed & get it notarized?

Covid hit and I came back to NY state where I grew up to help out my elderly parents, who were planning to move to Oregon before the pandemic began.

I know that with college student housing, the student usually does not qualify, and the parent(s) typically co-sign to ensure payment of rent.But, I think you're right, a 3rd floor walk up for an elderly couple may not fly ;-)

I believe everyone on the board is elderly so they could really use help creating a social media presence, reaching out to local businesses for assistance, etc.
