We got notice the week of settlement that buyer couldn't locate his DD214 (lender never notified us and even sent us buyer's conditional mortgage commitment that made no mention about a DD214)  Obviously we were beyond upset, however, the time and resources we would have had to utilize to "correct" this(i.e. small claims, fight to hold escrow deposit, etc) would have unfortunately been a waste of time.  

They're most likely upset and have probably already been contacted by others.

Needless to say, I am going to be very upset if I do not get this loan because it has been quite the journey.I will update when I find out if we are getting the money or not, but I would say so far my experience is so-so.

I'm so upset about this.

If you think permit fees are too high, don't build, because they aren't lowering them because a builder doesn't like them and gets upset.

Also I'm sure the upset home owner will then destroy the home in every conceivable way possible, making the value plumbet.

I am long past the point of it hurting my feelings or getting upset but I genuinely am curious as to their train of thought.
