That $115K sound steep even for Silicon Valley, CA.

With that low of an ltv, whether borrower pays or not, it’s a high yield investment that is very secure (I would argue more secure and higher yielding than a CD at Silicon Valley Bank).

Exactly.. for this reason you wont see appreciation like silicon valley  Tax's will keep a ceiling..

@Steve Vaughan  these types of frenzies I think kind of started in Silicon valley in the mid 80s  we were still in the family home in Cupertino.. and we would get door knockers.. usually nice Asian couple and walk up knock on door..

Of course now a days many say a home is a liability but depends on where you live I happened to buy mine in Silicon Valley and that one move was very timely and turned out to be financially rewarding. 

Yesterday, a well known VC firm put out an article on the slowing state of the 'layoffs' in Q1 2016 in Silicon Valley.
