Unwatched Toddlers, kids or very tall dogs with  French door water /ice maker on the outside (or sloppy adults period) are the only reason you need to never  go with that style.

What I don't get is that the existing style windows don't allow for egress, not for adult human beings at least, so how is it OK by code to just fix them??

She doesn't want to move out as she likes the neighborhood and kids are enrolled in school etc...I took an appt with inspection company to inspect mold and she doesn't want me to enter the unit without adult present as she has a minor child in the house. so I had to cancel the appointment.Today I went ahead and posted a 3 day notice and I get a call from a lawyer saying we can resolve this, my client will pay the rent as soon as you finish the repairs etc..

The two adults are hauled off to jail (one on parole, had it revoked, and the other was wanted on another charge), and I end up at the PD to sign the complaint.
