All you need is a pair of pliers , open the lid on the meter box and see if the triangle in the center is moving .

That's funny I used to live in that small triangle of Main, Garfield, Gothard, and Clay.

It is a great area, near the park, river, stores, govmt buildings along with a good coffee shop (71 main street) not sure where your building will be, but if you get the chance, check out http://uppermain.org/ the main street alliance has been around for years. the other major area is a triangle of construction is  btwn RT17, Maywood ave & central ave.

When I encounter specific questions or want to know what the "right" way is the do something (such as the 'kitchen work triangle' for example), the internet is always there waiting :). 

Additionally you will have created a kitchen triangle between your sink/fridge/range which is theoretically the best flow for a kitchen.Post pictures when you are done.Good luck!

Also can anyone recommend a Title company that is "friendly" to investors who do wholesale deals either through double closings or assignments  in the Triangle?

If you don't plan to use it and solely want to make $$, I would say skip the coast, get an FHA assumable loan to buy an owner occupied quad and self manage 3 STR units in your major university, major medical services Triangle of NC backyard.Enjoy the hunt and here's to your success!
