Denver is booming with apartment development, so there is a close comparison, and most of the projects recently completed or under development are 100's+ of units, not 24.  

Also two weeks ago the Chronicle ran an extensive article in the Business section regarding the boom we are seeing in the natural gas industry and companies have made large investments and bought commercial property around town and other surrounding areas in regards to that industry as well. 

Fairview is booming as well, I have been there for just over two yrs and Charlotte Hwy has increased development of small roadside businesses 10 fold.

I too am in the PA area and there are definitely alot of rentals in this state especially because of the oil boom bumping housing prices up.

With this migration of population patterns the retirees bring a boom to the economies fueling growth.

This was once a booming market with great potential.
