Learn your craft it makes you a credible person and the probability of repeat partnerships is greater, again learn ask questions, volunteer time ask more question and continue to educate yourselves. 

I think he was a little ahead of his time.When I was listening and presenting. there was a developer from Idaho and he had a nice project up at McCall ( unbelievably beautiful place)  but he got NO action.The one company that did the best had an on line game that would compete with Worlds of War craft or whatever you call that game that is played all over the place. they raised millions in that setting.. not being a game guy I did not invest..

So I would say it is important to be serious about the craft and know that it will have LOTS of moments.
