During that time they supposedly found a leak which was beyond the scope of the maintenance  and i had to pay a plumber to come in saturday morning while the guests were there. thats on top of the "deep clean" which cost $300 and was somehow done in a couple of hours.

But if you to a more wise and slow approach, you can find other ways to generate additional income, build up a 25% DP on a duplex that cash flows after all expenses and you have an EF fund, well you will sleep better at night and the odds that your investment will survive the tough times in your life is far greater then someone who sleep well at night with tons of debt who if anything should go wrong, which it does in life that person may be bankrupt.

There are similar ones for San Fran that are even worse: ;t= California is just trailing the mid west /  rust belt/ Deep South that has already been through this the amount of vacant commerical in the mid west is just as staggering as what is happening now in CA.. and it was for the same reasons..
