Either way, I'd have my attorney look over the contract immediately so you can get your ducks in a row for the next discussion and so you have a legal opinion about your rights in the event things get ugly.Lastly, take lots of photos of the current condition ASAP so you cover yourself in case the job gets "altered" by a miffed contractor.
