I rented a room in Ballard in an old craftsman from 1910s with an apt downstairs and they had open access to our house from the basement door (no lock), the roommate in the house was good friends with the couple in the downstairs flat, so it wasn't too big of a privacy issue, but if a stranger moved in, would have been a completely different story.

Then strangers live in your home.

I'm no stranger to organization, keeping people on track to do what they need, and have availability to answer my phone and work on the side throughout my work day.

Keep doing that until you're comfortable talking about REI even with a stranger and feel that you are able to explain to THEM what areas are decent and what areas aren't with a somewhat decent amount of certainty...
