With that being said - the best areas to consider for a single family home for cash flow is going to be on the West Side and if you look at google maps these neighborhoods will appear if you zoom in/out -- Detroit Shoreway, West Eighties, Cudell, West Boulevard, Jefferson, Bellaire-Puritas, Brooklyn and Old Brooklyn. 

I'm looking for a one story east I-65 in Jefferson County.  

Despite these challenges, we work hard to build relationships with the Jefferson and Tuscaloosa Housing Authorities so that we can better assist our investors.

@Fredie Robinson and @Basit Siddiqi Just to clarify for both of you Louisville/Jefferson County does have an additional local tax return on top of your Kentucky state tax.

North End, Jefferson Chalmers, Fitzgerald, Virginia Park, Russell Woods, Highland Park, Martin Park, etc.

Other areas I am analyzing are West Jefferson/Lake Darby, Marysville, and Delaware which all seem a more affordable than about everywhere in the 270 belt.
