I did that for seven months and my decision to bootstrap and be a single founder company allowed me to do that, even if the eventual end result wasn't a silicon valley super-unicorn or whatever they call it these days.In terms of RE investing, my lifestyle goal isn't to become a great investor and make my bones in RE.

LolThe one bad thing with me, as an investor, is that I have to buy in locations that I LOVE personally...Everytime I bought in the past, I always bought into properties that i see no problem living in myself some 15 years down the road when I don't need my Silicon Valley day job...Lol....

The "Silicone Slopes" have brought in 62,000 jobs in the last 5 years and that has been awesome for us but fortunately land prices haven't gotten ridiculous and we can still build for a decent price.

Home prices are rather high here, Utah county is on fire with all the expansion, and the idea of "The Silicon Slopes" which is merely all the big tech companies we are attracting and the new jobs that are coming from it.

A lot of what they sell though is true FSBO .AS I stated on Tom's reply  they are going through some learning curves but this is a very well funded ( Extremely) based SF Silicon valley type company.. this is just not some dudes that decided to sell turn key..
