Regarding the laundry vent, I was told by my inspector last year that a smooth wall metal type vent should be used and should only travel a short distance from the machine.

Old metal lines are usually so packed with corrosion that your water barley flows.I probably would not purchase as a rental but definatly as a flip assuming price adjustment to reflect costs.

I ripped out the 2 inch thick, metal lath/concrete/pink tile walls (that apparently were really popular in this area) so I am going to have to retile the entire shower already anyway.
