Before we start the development, we have some digging to do and I was wondering if anyone knows who we should approach about finding if there is natural gas, sand or coquina underground. 

. $1400 for gas and a 6x6 inch block of concrete?!?!

I just bought a 4 family, and two units have 1960's gas stove/oven combos.

You also have to be good with your money because you can go for months with no income and plenty of expenses.The average agent makes about the average income for an American, and that's before considering the expenses of gas, dues, licensing, marketing, etc.

I uncovered a multitude of issues (mainly cosmetic) but I have a couple of big ticket maintenance issues remaining - a slab drain leak (not supply) which was recently discovered and the home appears to need slight leveling (door jambs tight, small gap on brick outside). 

The culprit was a leak coming from a pipe in the crawl space below that other owners unit.  

The water usage was different every day indicating that it was not a water leak and abruptly went to zero on 9/20.

I feared what she was up to, but didn't even know where the key for that house was after 9.5 years.On 10/3/18, I received a call from the City, which provides gas for heat, water, sewer, trash.

In fact, the properties on either side of the house are commercial - one a house that was converted to a nursery school some years ago, and on the other side, a former gas station that is now major wireless carrier's cell phone store. 

Strangely enough it's about time in the cycle to begin talking about oil and gas royalties and working interests as replacements for investment real estate.
