What sorts of regulations/licensing do I (acting as Chairman of the Board of Directors and chief property manager simultaneously) need to be knowledgeable of during the founding and operation of said organization?

I just had a big blowout with the chairman of oir mls system over this very subject. 

Here is what the SEC chairman Jay Clayton stated recently in Senate testimony:"I expect the Commission to consider staff recommendations to amend the accredited investor definition in the near future, including whether the definition should include non-wealth-based ways for individuals to qualify, and more broadly, whether the limitations on who can invest in certain exempt offerings provide an appropriate level of investor protection or pose an undue obstacle to capital formation or investor access to investment opportunities."

Here are a few steps before this will become law.1)  "Chairman's markup" where the chair of the committee will change anything he wants to change.2)  "Committee's markup" where the committee changes anything a majority wants to change.3)  "Committee vote" to get it out of committee.4) Rules Committee will write a rule about it. 

There is a bill proposed to get rid of property tax deduction (probably also mortgage interest deductions as well). https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/chairman...I would hate to see this bill passes, and I would like to know whether property tax can still be considered as business expense for LLC or C-corp.

I don't know if you have been paying attention to the DC news, but there is a very good chance that John Taylor will be appointed as the next chairman of the FED. 

_______________________The House Financial Services Committee approved a bill Thursday to repeal and rollback significant pieces of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.The panel voted to send Chairman Jeb Hensarling's (R-Texas) Financial CHOICE Act to the House floor, 34-26, along party lines.

The Commission's chairman sees this as an issue for the government to address.
