Now I get to see what this velocity of money everyone is talking about is all about.

We are in a situation right now where M2 is expanding rapidly but velocity is cratering. 

The first being that the shorter the hold period the higher the IRR and the velocity of money is increased.The second is that the majority of a sponsors compensation comes after a capital event (sale/refi) when they get into the "promote" or carried interest. 

Still, you want to continue the velocity of your money.

It’s been fun watching Joe and Michelle just constantly continue to gain velocity in their journey.  

They make much of their money on velocity and do not want to be in a deal for too long.

That will show the velocity and velocity is a reflection of buyer volume. 

On the other hand, I think the mentality of many entrepreneurs is about financial freedom by reaching monetary escape velocity from the system.

We look at current inventory trends, this does not tell us when BUT it does tell us velocity, direction, and magnitude or easier said VECTORING.
