So, I decided to consolidate as much of my material shopping as possible to one store (Home Depot), spent a bunch of time scouring Home Depot to pick out the exact materials I'd use on every rehab, put together a spreadsheet of all these materials (and their SKUs) and spent some time getting to know one of the guys at the contractor pro desk.Now, when I get a house, I mark my spreadsheet with the quantity of each item I need, I fax it to my guy at the pro desk, he quotes me a price, charges my credit card and has the materials delivered the next day.

Alright...From what I get off the bat is that you'll save money on commissions as a buyer or a seller...You'd also get to scour the MLS listings yourself with all the tools available to RE agents...But yes you are right...getting the license won't make you a great investor...but it would definitely be another tool in your belt I believe!

To quote the author, it teaches us "to work ON our business not IN it".Had I read these books in the order I mentioned, I would have spent much less time scouring the internet and attending "educational seminars" ( ever encountered the ones that only provide limited information which provides no additional value and attempt to sell $20000 programs?
