I have never spoken to a cop that didn't say that morale was at an all time low and that things are getting worse.

Were your unit my unit and your predicament my predicament this is what I would do: Step one: Call the main line for all the major firms in your area ( Century 21, Keller Williams, Coldwell Banker, Smaller Local Names).

Your fatalistic attitude is predictable because by saying that nothing will change if investors step up to the plate, you then attempt to relieve those investors, and possibly yourself, of the moral charge of stepping up to the plate.  

I am in the same predicament and have considered giving my tenant 60 days so that he has plenty of time to find a place. 

The difference being that I didn't personally put myself in that morally difficult situation.

The moral of the story is listen to your head, but also listen to your heart, and then do what feels right.

If you're not more than 100 grand underwater, you're in better shape than I was, and I came back better than ever from my predicament. 

If a LEO was endangering his life by evicting someone from my property and they decided to literally go out with a bang, it's my moral obligation to protect myself and those on my property.

In my opinion $200 isn’t worth the head ache.... but on the other side, I like to stick to my guns (morally speaking).
