And as new investor, you have to expect to be charged more than a builder, but armed with a little knowledge you can get a better price than a homeowner and still allow the contractor to make good money.For most construction work materials times two is a good guesstimate, so about $6k is likely a good price. 

These are electric only systems - dont work well in older buildings - but newer construction they should be great.

I've come across this Tall Timbers new condo under construction.

The condominium is 2 stories and 6,540 square feet with 8 units and was constructed in 1965.

Trying to find quality subcontractors and writing proper contracts I would not recommend for somebody outside of the construction industry.
