Personally, I don't like the fact that we've been "discovered" and more people are moving here.

Many times I discover the highest and best use doesn't align with my investment strategy or doesn't make sense from a profit perspective given what the seller is asking. 

If you have a hole this big, you probably have a dozen more you haven't even discovered yet.

I just discovered this asset class and searching this forum, I see that most postings are about 10 years old, just the aftermath of the 2007-2008 bubble.Is it still a viable way to invest in 2024?

There is institution fund outthere that can give minimal-risk 10% cashflow by buying corporate bonds and hedge it by shorting the underlying.

When I went to get a loan to finish rehabbing the property this was discovered as they pulled title and wanted to get insurance in place.

It's a great place to ask random questions, connect with people and discover new ideas.

If a guest spills food in the hot tub or fouls it, the cleaning crew will discover it during turnover and have to block it (no way to clear that kind of mess in a 4hr turnover).

Failing that the property can be deeded back to the original party, and the lending institution may be satisfied with that.  

And it looks like the institutional quality and low debt features of most DSTs aren’t immune to good ole market forces.
