I grew up near the Great Lakes area in Illinois, and still do a lot of business with friends in that area. 

The airport and direct flight from Salt Lake City to Detroit is one of the reasons I picked Detroit.

While you are turning an existing building if it is not completely vacant there is at least some income coming in whereas ground up it takes cash,cash,cash and long times before the money comes in on larger projects.I have a client building a similar size in Salt Lake, Utah but again the higher end renters make the most sense for new builds.

It's in Saratoga Springs,  N.Y. on the lake and down from the track and Racino in opposite directions. 

Having cash is always a great option, particularly in black swan events.

What is the best Real Estate meet up in the Salt Lake Valley?

I'm looking for a contractor in the Salt Lake City area that can repair a detached garage that is leaning to one side.

At the moment (short of a national/global black swan type event) I see more of the same in the next years, just even more accelerated.

Also you can b, c and d within a 1 mike radius and all can do well, especially if the c and d are getting bought up for flips like in Westend, East Atlant, East Lake Andy parts of Decatur
