This is why renting to family or friends is generally a bad idea.

Cabinets/trim go in this week and flooring should be going in within the next few weeks.

We recently sold a Bilevel house, where the entry is between floors and you have to go up or down upon entry. 

@Katharine Chartrand   This buying of redemention rights is rampant here In Oregon.. those that buy the rights usually have no interest in the house.. they hold the rights hostage so you will pay them money for those rights..

You should go over with your GC - weekly updates on labor and materials spent, deadlines for each project.

I guess if you reach a certain point in life and desire this type of 'tribal' reinforcement, then go for it...to each his own!

I'm sure many investors would benefit from this!
