Some will pick up a book and learn, some will listen to speakers & learn, some will look at it & learn, & others like myself are those that feel they way to learning.

Sometimes wires get crossed and people think all speakers are considered gurus but I think ‘guru’ has run out its use and from my experience with speakers they’ll call themselves everything but a guru because it is now a worn out marketing label with mixed connotations.

I seem to remember it as the actual debate that occured in the full Congress which included the House of Representatives with each speaker who spoke on the issues of that day.

Guru = information sales, and that is all.I recently attended a DIG meeting, the guru speaker promised the easy road to millions, 7 people forked over $7k each.

Having said that, I'm still impressed with this rei club - this is the first monthly meeting since I started attending in March that has featured a speaker that was selling something.

I was on a webinar about short sales recently when the speaker stated that he does not attend nor try to influence the BPO.

This, coming from a non English major, and a non native English speaker.

This month the speaker was a wholesaling guru who's now moved into Rehabs.

He stated that everyday he listened to some type of motivational speaker or something motivational whether it be Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins or whoever or whatever.

I am a huge fan of Jim Rohn, he is the default speaker in my car :) I believe Earl was his sponsor into network marketing.I know many people are big fans of Tony Robbins and wanted to give him a try.
