because sooner or later I will work with one... and they want to see that you are serious and not just one hit wonder)The point I am trying to make is... begin building both virtual and physical network... and start diving into other peoples mindset... will carry you through the passion and begin helping you discover the true reality of retiring early...Note i am not the best person to listen to since I don't have 100 units property or anything like that... but what you will learn in my blog may perhaps be entertaining and perhaps just maybe make you feel less like you are a lone ranger diving into this journey, while also help you discover how you can create similar virtual/physical network... 

Lastly do you prefer a full service modern condo buildings with parking, pool, security, gym etc or more an independent SFH with a yard.

I have been a home owner for 8 years and I have always paid an additional ~10% of the monthly mortgage every month towards the principal of the loan.Any thoughts to whether or not this plan will help achieve financial independence sooner, or should I put this 10% into building a real estate fund?

My desire to be 'full time' in real estate sooner than I could feasibly have the rental cash flow to do so, and my building exhaustion with my current business drove me to read hundreds of posts on being a real estate agent as a person with an investment interest.

And you can use portfolio/commercial loans sooner if you like but in general they have higher rates or some other feature that isn't as good as a Fannie/Freddie loan. 

I do not rent to anyone needing the unit sooner than a month out even if it is vacant. 

Hopefully you find one sooner but it will frame your expectations the right way to avoid getting discouraged in month 6 especially in a hot investment market like today.Real estate is a long-term wealth game and it pays to be patient.
